What we are looking for

As Director - Business Development you will be integral in supporting organic growth of Vectura’s global CDMO business. Using your skills and record of accomplishments in pharmaceuticals, you will identify and execute new opportunities with new and existing partners that utilise Vectura’s development expertise and proprietary technologies.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Business Development, you’ll represent Vectura at key meetings, conferences and trade shows. You’ll use your skills to support the creation of material to promote Vectura, such as presentations, marketing collateral, exhibition and stand/booth material.

You’ll develop and maintain close working relationships with key internal stakeholders across the business, including scientific experts and legal as you negotiate and execute agreements. Upon conclusion of transactions, you’ll work with Alliance Management and Project Management to facilitate a smooth handover to maximise the value of all collaborations.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Accountability for achieving his/her personal annual sales target from new and repeat customer business to enable revenue targets are met on a quarterly basis
• Performs independent research and analysis of assigned territories to identify target companies and prospectation. Use commercial acumen to foster relationships with contacts at the targeted companies to understand their needs and articulate Vectura’s value proposition.
• Work in collaboration with Inside Sales to handle and capitalise on inbound qualified leads from potential customers
• Identify and develop contacts at new customer companies to secure additional RFP’s and RFI’s to support greater account penetration
• Cross-functional management of complete business development process (contact to contract with both internal and external stakeholders
• Schedule a requisite number of face-to-face meetings and/or remote /on-line client presentations to open new business development opportunities with new accounts.
• Coordinate with Proposals Team to support the response to and timely completion of RFIs and RFPs.
• Provide clear and concise analysis regarding opportunities, indicating fair probability of success and realisation
• Market and competitor analysis to provide strategic recommendations to optimally position the service offering
• Active participation in international Industry conferences/exhibitions/ networking events as required by the company; includes pre-meeting planning (organising meetings with existing customers, prospects and prominent consultants) and post meeting reporting and follow up.
• Proactive contribution and commitment to Vectura’s on-going marketing strategy and materials
